A recipe to make your yoga mat stickier:
Those wanting to make their mats stickier should try this cleaning method: Wash your mat in HOT water using about a cup of vinegar and a few drops of laundry detergent (not dish liquid, which is often formulated with oils). You can even use the gentle cycle on some washing machines, but do not put your mat through a spin cycle. Rinse really well in a tub or shower. Press out (without twisting) as much water as possible if your mat has open cell foam. Place on a clothes rack to dry. The tackiness will be restored, and perhaps improved beyond any previous level.
