Joanne has been offering yoga teacher trainings in Pittsburgh for the past six years. Well-known and respected for her program, she offers both summer intensives and year-round programs and has graduated 95 yoga teachers to date. Joanne is “a teacher of teachers” and brings 30+ years experience teaching in the public school system to her craft.
Trained and certified through the Himalayan Institute, Joanne has been practicing yoga and meditation for twenty years and teaching for more than ten years in the Pittsburgh area. She has studied with many well-known yoga teachers around the country, although she says her best teachers are her students. Joanne is excited about the prospect of bringing her program to Sunflower Yoga Studio and working with students here.
Joanne’s teaching style has been described as intimate, personal, skillful and supportive. Her teacher training program offers a comprehensive Yoga Alliance certified program that provides aspiring yoga teachers with instruction and certification in the Yogic Arts.
Class sizes are small to allow personal attention, hands-on experience and the opportunity for each prospective teacher to create and cultivate her/his uniquely personal teaching style grounded in good Yogic theory, practice and philosophy.
